This month’s work is all about learning how to treat yourself as well as you treat your friends. It's about learning how to take care of yourself so that you don't need to keeping searching outside to feel better. You will finally learn how to self-soothe (I don't know about you, but my therapist always pointed out to me I needed to learn how to do that...but couldn't give me more tips than to take a hot bath or go for a walk).
If you're anything like most people and have one of those relentless inner mean girls, this month is for YOU. You'll learn how to deal with those tough emotions and challenging times from a different approach that doesn't involve pushing the hard things away.

We've all heard of the Golden Rule:
"Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you." But we'd never do unto others what we do to ourselves!
It's kinda crazy.
And no - being nice to yourself won't make you a total wuss. It will make you a total warrior.
Liking yourself and shutting down the inner mean girl will make you stronger.

I resisted the whole concept of mindful self-compassion at first. I thought it was important...but not that important. I. Was. WRONG. (and that doesn't happen too often;)
